Every house and every taste is different. Custom work is not an extra option at The Old Mill Timber Co. It is the way the work is done. The pieces in the shop are things already made for clients — starting points, not limits.

These are not stock photos of a factory line. They are items built for real kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms. Sizes and finishes can still be changed.

A photo, a measurement, a wood you like, or a problem in the room. WhatsApp and the form on this site both work.

We settle the details

Timber, size, finish, and price are agreed before anything is cut. No surprise extras after the fact.

One pair of hands

The piece is designed from scratch and built in the Pretoria workshop. You can visit by appointment.

It arrives as yours

Collection from Six Fountains, or courier across South Africa. Custom orders are made to your specification.

The workshop

Eighteen years before it was a business.

The Old Mill Timber Co. started the way most things worth doing do — quietly, in a workshop, with no audience. Woodworking was a personal discipline: a way to slow down, work with your hands, and make something real. Now it is a business. The approach has not changed. Every blanket ladder, stove top cover, and candle holder is still designed from scratch and built by one pair of hands.
